Health Guarantee
At the time of purchase, we guarantee that our puppies are in good health, and free from any signs of infection or contagious diseases. We take pride in our ongoing relationship with you once you welcome a puppy into your home. As a family of breeders and devoted puppy lovers, we genuinely hope that nothing ever goes wrong with your new companion. That said, there are factors beyond our control.
A puppy's health is influenced by many aspects, including genetics, exercise, nutrition, and overall care. While we can't promise your puppy will never face health issues, we are committed to doing our utmost to ensure you are getting a healthy addition to your family.
The seller certifies that your puppy was in sound health at the time of sale, to the best of our knowledge, and has received all vaccinations and deworming as outlined in the vaccination record provided. We strive to provide you with a healthy puppy, but the responsibility for future vaccinations, boosters, and deworming rests with the buyer, especially if the puppy becomes ill or has any genetic issues.
For a replacement to be considered, certain conditions must be met: you must submit an official report from a licensed veterinarian confirming, without a doubt, that the puppy has a genetic defect. This report should include the vet’s contact number. In the unfortunate event of the puppy’s death, an autopsy performed by a licensed vet stating the cause of death will also be required. This documentation must be forwarded to us before any determination is made. The seller reserves the right to verify the diagnosis with a veterinarian of our choice and will not be held accountable for any associated expenses, including return shipping or veterinary costs.
This warranty applies only to the original buyer. Please note that parasites are not covered, as puppies can pick them up very quickly. Your puppy will be current on deworming, and regular deworming as advised by your vet is recommended.
Occasionally, hernias—whether umbilical or inguinal—may occur in puppies. Should surgery be necessary, we will provide compensation of $50 for umbilical and $75 for inguinal hernias. Most puppies will eventually outgrow them. If they don’t, repairs can typically be done during spaying or neutering, which is highly recommended if you do not plan to breed.
We have carefully raised this puppy using sound breeding practices, and you must provide proper care to help ensure a long, healthy life. You play a crucial role in your puppy’s development into a healthy adult.
If at any point you are unable to keep your puppy and choose to return it, you may do so along with the paperwork provided at purchase. In this case, you will receive a refund for the puppy.
I, the seller, agree to offer a one-year health warranty and a three-year genetic warranty, as detailed above.
In cases of death due to a congenital defect (present at birth), the owner is required to notify the breeder and provide a written statement from a licensed vet detailing the puppy’s condition. Arrangements to return the puppy and its paperwork to the breeder must be made within three days of the examination. The seller will either replace the puppy within 30 days or refund the full purchase price (excluding shipping fees if the puppy was transported by airline).
Please be aware that this warranty does not cover worms, fleas, mites, coccidiosis, giardia, or any other common parasites, as these can easily affect dogs and puppies. The breeder assumes no responsibility for veterinary costs.
The seller guarantees that the puppy is free from heart murmurs of grade 3 or higher unless otherwise disclosed. Heart murmurs are common in young puppies, and many will outgrow them without any long-term impact on health. While our veterinarian takes special precautions to assess each puppy’s heart, minor murmurs (grades 1 and 2) may go unnoticed. We agree to inform the buyer of any known murmurs present during the examination.
The seller is not liable if the puppy contracts a communicable disease after 72 hours of leaving the breeder’s possession or if such a disease results from the buyer's chosen shipping method. Transportation via airline places the puppy at a greater risk of exposure to contagious illnesses, so the buyer assumes all risks associated with air travel.
BUYER AGREES TO:
• Purchase the puppy strictly for personal companionship, not for resale, or for any pet shop, puppy mill, or agent.
• Register the puppy exclusively with the American Kennel Club (AKC).
• Ensure regular veterinary check-ups and follow their recommendations for vaccinations and care. The puppy must receive all required shots and yearly boosters.
• Obtain prior arrangements with the breeder if intending to produce registered litters.
